I don’t have to tell anyone how good Alan Wilkis and Memory Tapes are. But I completely slept on The White Hinterland, but I’ve heard people comparing 23 year old The White Hinterland singer Casey Dienel with Joni Mitchell and Björk. After hearing a couple of their tracks I really have to get their critically acclaimed album ‘Phylactery Factory’.
But then Little Loud is a completely unknown quantity and what do we learn: The degree of popularity does not define quality.
