The Avalanches

the avalanches

The sound by The Avalanches out of Melbourne is hard to describe- that’s why I think they’re brilliant.

Some of their tracks are more Indie, other ones feel like they’ve been smoking weed with Jay Dilla. That effect comes from them using all these samples, their album ‘Since I left You‘ had 3500 samples.

To get a taste of how they sound I got one track I really liked.

The Avalanches- Tonight May Have To Last Me All My Life

Um, isn’t ‘Since I left You’ the title of their 2000 debut? And I have no idea what ‘Since I last Meet You’ is supposed to be.

This is how I read in on indiefinds- but when I tried to find out from which Lp the track I posted was on I could find “When I Last Met You Neither”.
So I know everything. I just want that our readers think themselves…

…nah thanks for helping me out.
